"TRAIN TO PLAY"

Introduction: Muscle, ligament, joint injury are common in athletes. Recent advances in physical therapy/athletic training research have identified certain anatomical and biomechanical faults that may predispose the athlete to the development of musculoskeletal injuries. Pro-actively training these biomechanical faults may prevent these debilitating injuries that keep the athlete from "being all that they can be". Furthermore, increasing strength, endurance, balance, and muscle control the athlete is optimizing their body which in turn leads to better sports performance.

Purpose: To prevent/minimize injury and improve sports performance by increasing strength, endurance, balance and motor control in the athlete.

Objective:

  1. Initial baseline evaluation and assessment of the athlete and their specific goals $100
  2. To create specific exercises based on the research and evidence in physical therapy/athletic training.
  3. To implement an 8 week, 16 visit program to meet 2 times per week in a group setting of a maximum of 5-6 people.
  4. Cost would be $550.00 for the 16 visits.

Goals:

  1. Improve strength, endurance, balance and motor control of the athlete to improve sports performance.
  2. Prevent/minimize injury in their given sport.
  3. Improve confidence and reduce fear of injury during sports.
  4. Teach the individual how to exercise properly and create independence while performing their own self directed program in the future.
